THYREON Officially Presented in Brussels at the 3rd Annual Greek Defence Industry Compass

Seeders, a Greek technology and innovation company certified to ISO 56001, 9001, and 27001 standards, officially presented THYREON, its Defence & Security Business Unit, in Brussels at the 3rd Annual Greek Defence Industry Compass, organized by SEKPY (Hellenic Manufacturers of Defence Materiel Association) at the Residence Palace on Wednesday, 8 January 2026.

The event, held under the auspices of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, brought together representatives from European institutions, defence organizations, armed forces, industry, research bodies, and financial institutions, serving as a key platform for strategic dialogue and industrial cooperation within the European defence ecosystem.

Seeders, as an innovation company specializing in artificial intelligence, automation, and strategic innovation management, strategically chose Brussels for THYREON's first international presentation, recognizing the Greek Defence Industry Compass as the appropriate institutional venue to communicate the unit's vision: to bridge the Greek defence ecosystem with the European defence market through structured access to networks, consortia, and funding instruments.

Seeders in Brussels: Michanetzis's Address on Maritime Security

THYREON's leadership team was represented at the event by Konstantinos Michanetzis, Founder & Strategic Lead of THYREON, who participated as a speaker on the panel "Maritime Security & Blue Economy Defence Applications". Konstantinos Michanetzis participated in the panel alongside François-Régis Boulvert, Naval Architect and International R&T Cooperation Development Director at Naval Group, and Sotiris Kokkinos, CEO of FEAC Engineering. The panel was moderated by Romain Rullon, Naval Policy Director at SEA Europe.

In his address, Michanetzis emphasized THYREON's role as a strategic partner for organizations operating in or seeking to enter the European defence ecosystem, with a focus on maritime security, the blue economy, and dual-use defence applications.

THYREON: The Bridge to European Defence

THYREON ("The Bridge to European Defence") operates as an operational partner for organizations seeking to:

  • Grow defence capabilities – from strategy to execution, strengthening operational and industrial impact
  • Build winning consortia – partner identification, governance, and bid readiness across EDF and European programmes
  • Enable confident market entry – market intelligence, procurement strategy, and positioning support for new defence entrants

The Significance of the 3rd Greek Defence Industry Compass

The 3rd Annual Greek Defence Industry Compass confirmed its role as a key platform for connecting the Greek defence industry with the European ecosystem. A central pillar of the event was the extensive programme of structured B2B meetings, which confirmed the event's strongly operational and results-oriented character.

The event's thematic sessions covered critical issues for the future of European defence:

  • Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) and European Competitiveness Fund (ECF)
  • Military Mobility and Infrastructure
  • Defence Energy Solutions and Green Transition
  • Maritime Security & Blue Economy (speaker: Konstantinos Michanetzis, THYREON)

"The Greek defence industry possesses significant expertise and capable human capital. What is often missing is structured access to the European defence ecosystem — to the right networks, the appropriate consortia, and funding instruments. THYREON was created to fill precisely this gap: to function as a bridge between Greek capabilities and European defence programmes."

Strategic Partnerships and Institutional Presence

THYREON's participation in the 3rd Greek Defence Industry Compass further strengthens its relationship with SEKPY, which is an institutional supporter of the Defence to Business (D2B) programme. The presence of Seeders and THYREON in Brussels alongside representatives from the European Commission, the European Defence Agency (EDA), NATO, major European defence industries such as Naval Group, and Greek defence companies confirms their strategic position as a connector between policy, industry, and implementation in the European defence ecosystem.

A significant milestone of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between SEKPY and PwC Greece, establishing a structured framework for collaboration in defence economics, industrial strategy, regulatory compliance, and the utilization of European financial instruments.
